I was told by opthalmologists in India to ignore my floaters. It wasn't possible. I tried laser vitreolysis. After several sessions my floaters increased. I was helpless but also in fear of surgery. In India they mostly did core vitrectomy. I found some groups on facebook where I researched different options and outcomes. There were many positive stories about Dr. Guilio Bamonte. I also checked his facebook page where he clearly talks about the negative aspects of core vitrectomy for floaters. I got in touch with him. He was quick, patient and kind in his communication. he listened to my case and offered a video consultation. During the consultation he explained in detail about the surgery and that he shaves the periphery to avoid frill and does a full PVD induced vitrectomy which maybe risky during the procedure but has no chances of retinal detachment later in life. He said his track record of avoiding retinal detachment is good. I did check on different forums and found reviews that confirmed this. Unable to struggle with floaters any longer and gaining more confidence in Dr. Bamonte's technique I booked the surgery for March 2023. I also spoke to a patient who had a successful surgery and who was about to have surgery on the same date as me. The surgery went as expected even though I was slightly afraid and a bit nervous. After the surgery Doctor Bamonte informed me that it was uneventful. Feeling relieved, I went back to my airbnb and waited for another 24 hours for the post op. When the patch finally came off I could see a big air bubble that covered most of my vision. At the post op, the Doctor removed the stitch he had put during the surgery. As expected the bubble slowly went down over the next 10 days and I was seeing many black dots and gray circles but Doctor assured me they would go away and just as expected they disappeared in a month. However, I got a cataract within 3 months. This was a bit sudden as doctor had told me that I could get it in another 5 years so I wasn't really expecting it so soon. However I was satisfied with my left eye FOV results that I was considering doing the right eye with Dr. Bamonte. My local cataract doctor also suggested that I do the right eye FOV and then handle both the cataracts. I did my right eye in September 2023 with Dr. Bamonte and had the same results. Floaters gone, black dots disappeared and no frill. As expected I got a cataract in 3 months. I was 47 years old at the time of the surgery and Dr. Bamonte said it's possible to get cataracts after surgery and the benefits outweigh the risks. He suggested i get a cataract surgery locally. I'm very pleased with my floater surgeries with Dr. Bamonte and would recommend him to other floater sufferers anywhere in the world. Représentant les corps flottistes  de France , je peux vous dire que Le docteur Giulio Bamonte est certainement le meilleur au monde pour traiter cette maladie , avec un rasage complet en périphérique, pas de frill, plus aucun corps flottants après opération , mon cas n’était pas le plus simple avec une première chirurgie pour la rétine , il n’a pas hésité un seul moment à m’opérer, je te remercie , on se voit pour le deuxième œil avec les mêmes résultats l’année prochaine , courage pour tes futurs interventions, Olivier Roques.

Dr.Giulio Bamonte is the best floater surgeon on planet earth. You can read all about his work from client testimonies on his Facebook page. I have not had him operate on me yet as I live in Australia but if I had the means to I would absolutely choose Dr.Bamonte.
